San Francisco. A city on the coast of beautiful California. The same as any other city in the world. Children go to school, Parents to work. The streets are littered with people going about their business. Eating in restaurants, buying groceries, visiting museums, listening to music, skating in the park. As the sun beats down from the blue sky, life continues on.
But, as in most cities of this size, there are problems. The biggest on being the crime rate. Unexplained bodies appear more often than the city’s citizens would prefer. And, it seem, the police and government seemed to turn a blind eye. More often than not no murderer was brought to justice for these crimes. But people live on, most without a fear, not knowing exactly what dangers lay in wait.
When the sun descends on our lovely city, it seems to come alive. But those that walk the streets at night are very different from those during the day. They seem to all be hungry and searching for food. And their food is humans.
Vampires have claimed San Francisco for their own.
There are some that believe that humans and vampires can, for the most part, peacefully coexist. They follow rules that ensure their survival. There is no killing. Draining a body completely was a sure way to have the police asking the exact questions they didn’t want asked. Do not allow yourself to be observed. It was a lot harder to cover your tracks when there were no witnesses to the crime.
And then there are those that believe that humans were put on this earth simply to be a vampire’s food. The ones that didn’t care how many bodies were found in the park with no idea as to how the blood had mysteriously disappeared.
More and more demons seem to be settling down in San Francisco’s welcoming arms. Causing this once peaceful city to understand how dark the world is.
